PARENT AS TEACHERS (PAT)

Parent As Teachers (PAT) is a international, evidence based home visiting program that promotes the early development, health, and learning of children by engaging and supporting their parents and caregivers. The program supports a parent’s role in promoting school readiness and healthy development of children. PAT serve families from birth to age five. Our target population: first time parents,  young teens/ young adults, abused (physical and/or substance) , and families who are high risked of being in poverty due to limited or no support.  There are four dynamic components to The Parent As Teachers Model: Personal Visit, Group Connections, Screenings, and Resource.

PERSONAL VISIT

Virtual and physical home visits will be available. The parent will be able to set the agenda for each visit and the parent educator will provide researched information to support and help the parent to make good parenting decisions.

GROUP CONNECTIONS

Group connections will allow the parent to network, support and learn from other parents.

SCREENINGS

Regular screening during the visits will make sure your child is safe, healthy and developing on track.

RESOURCE

Parent Educator will connect you to the needed resources in the community.
